What a scam!
Here is the story. You pay your $20.00 plus your $7.00 entry fee. You have to take the day off work and then on top of that you have to pay each time $7.00 entry fee. Does not sound like much but each time you play you have to take a day off work. Being a System Administrator you do not have days off where I work and that is a lot of money I just wasted to go to a dart function that is canceled two shoots away from the provincial tournament. I lost in about total of $500 bucks (Rounded down to the lowest total to be fair) for the two shoots that after the second shoot was canceled. They did tell us that we can go to London but who the hell wants to travel 2 hours to play Darts to take a chance that you may or may not get in. They did not give us our money back and they did not give us a chance to shoot in the provincial tournement....oops sorry we would have had to pay yet another $100 buck to get in. Boy that was fair. Now that was just me. Lets take a look at the director that had to use his money to send things in for the last two years that cost out of his pocket that they said that they would reimburse him (they never did!!!!) and during the mail strike two years ago he had to pay for next day service to get the stuff there and paied out of his pocket and never got his money back. I was in it (Giving them the benefit of the doubt that things could change and to say that I gave them a chance) this is the place to do it.
Darts was fun till they pulled this. Even the Youth league is starting to go sour. I hope that the Legion can save the youth league. I will even volunteer my time to help them run it. If anyone can do a good job it is the Royal Canadian Legion!!!!!
